Visual Identity FMM SINES

FMM Sines is a festival of world music that includes styles such as folk, jazz, alternative music, fusion and urban music. It seeks to bring together in the same space, real world music as it is done and lived in our time: hybrid music, marked by collaboration between artists of different origins and cultures, which feed on ideological movements and the influence of people that define contemporaneity.This project is part of a school work, for which we previously made a creative exercise with music and all kinds of techniques and materials. 

This exercise was about experimenting with the materials and drawing the sensations that we felt, according to the song that would sound at that moment.Reflecting on that exercise, I realized that what I was painting was the music, the sounds, rhythms and sensations. 

Starting from those drawings, I made a series of compositions that would give rise to the visual identity of this festival.To this work add a double meaning to include geometric elements, such as triangles, square circles etc. These elements will serve, in turn, to classify the types of music of the festival and use it as an orientation guide for the signs within the festival, in maps, programming and scenarios, facilitating the experience to the spectators of the festival.
